Mark Cotteleer

Mark Cotteleer is a research director with Deloitte Services, LP.  His research focuses on issues related to performance and performance improvement and covers a wide range of topics including advanced manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, and business analytics.

Prior to joining Deloitte, Mark was a professor at Marquette University where he taught and conducted research on technology and supply chain management and co-led the Marquette University Center for Supply Chain Management.  He was also a visiting associate professor of operations management at the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.  His research is widely published in top management and academic journals such as the Harvard Business Review, Production and Operations Management, MIS Quarterly, and others.  In addition, he has published numerous practitioner articles and best-selling case studies.

Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Marquette University, an MBA and a master’s degree in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a doctorate in Technology and Operations Management from Harvard Business School.  Mark lives in Franklin, Wisconsin, with his wife and their three children, and Wally, the family dog.
